Eutonia For Dancers is not a class, but a year you inhabit.

A slow, precise, and intimate journey into the intelligence of your body — through sensation, perception, and conscious movement.

Our Yearly Cycle invites you into an ongoing practice that unfolds across four seasonal chapters:

Skin · Bones · Inner Space · Conscious Contact

Each season opens a different doorway into how you move, feel, and relate — inside and outside of the dance.

THE PRACTICE

Eutonia is a somatic approach developed by Gerda Alexander, grounded in neurophysiology, perception, and lived experience.

In Eutonia For Dancers, this work is offered as a long-form process in a live, embodied practice of listening — to bones, skin, gravity, conscious contact, and inner space. The work unfolds slowly as a field of listening to rewire presence.

All sessions are held live on Zoom. You practice from your own space. Lying down, sitting, standing — always adapting to your body. No previous experience with Eutonia is required.  Just curiosity and willingness to feel.

The yearly cycle is a recalibration of neuro-sensorial pathways of how effort, tone, and sensation organize into movement.

THE YEARLY CYCLE

The Yearly Program unfolds over four seasons, each lasting 7 weeks, followed by a 4-5 weeks period of integration and rest.

  • 4 Seasons across one year 
  • 28 Live Zoom practice sessions

Between seasons, we rest, digest, and integrate with recorded practices and reflections, allowing space for the body to create memory. This rhythm is intentional because change needs time to settle.

  • During the seasons we meet every Wednesday via Zoom
  • For approximately 1,5h – 2 hours.
  • Timezones: 9am New York | 3pm Berlin | 10pm Bali (start of the year calendar)
  • Time adjustments occur during daylight saving changes

Live presence is a central part of the work. The recordings are offered as temporary support available for 30 days after each live session, not a replacement for live participation
